I found my way to HowieZine today, a page full of wonderful gifts from a web designer that I have yet to identify, but I believe hails from the Phili area. The site is a sort of homage and "thank you" to the community of developers that have helped him in the past years. His gifts are a collection of background images, a couple of fonts, some color palettes (haven't looked at these yet), and more.
This free offering is just another source of inspiration that I need to start doing the same. It is obvious that if nothing else it will get me to play around and try new things (be it design or programming or whatever), and whether people like them or not isn't so much the point, it is simply to make me DO.
